From inactive to engaged in two weeks
A medium-sized European bank struggled with a segment of inactive cardholders. They launched a 14-day spend-and-get campaign, using coffee vouchers as incentives.
As a result, transaction volume increased by 50% after the campaign, compared to a control group.
Even long-term dormants could be engaged
A Northern European bank had almost given up on a portfolio of long-term dormant customers. With only 3% active, they tried addressing them with a challenge with high-value incentives – 2 cinema tickets.
The share of actives went from 3% to 18% during the campaign period. Somewhat surprisingly, the share of actives continued to increase even after the campaign, reaching 22% just a week after it ended.
